Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-10-11
These terms govern your use of Receva. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
Receva is a software-as-a-service application for issuing Swiss QR-bill invoices and EN 16931 / Peppol e-invoices, managing customers, expenses, estimates, credit notes, and getting paid. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Receva is intended for business and professional use.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You are responsible for the legal and tax correctness of the documents you issue with Receva.
4. Plans and payment
Receva has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. What each plan includes, and what Pro costs, is shown in the pricing section of our home page and again at checkout.
Pro is sold by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record. When you subscribe, you buy Pro from Lemon Squeezy. It takes your payment and sends you the receipts, and its own terms of sale also apply to the purchase.
Prices include VAT or sales tax where it applies, so the price you see is what you pay. Lemon Squeezy may show the amount in your currency, and shows you the total before you pay.
Pro starts with a free trial of 14 days. Lemon Squeezy takes your card at checkout but charges nothing during the trial. When the trial ends, it charges the first period at the Pro price shown at checkout, unless you cancel before then. You can cancel during the trial in Settings, under Plan and billing, and you will not be charged. The free trial is available once per person and once per company email domain, and not with a disposable email address. If you subscribe again later, Pro is charged from the start.
A Pro subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (a month or a year) until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Settings, under Plan and billing, which opens the Lemon Squeezy billing portal. After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.
We email you a reminder 30 to 45 days before a yearly plan renews, and once a year on a monthly plan, saying what renews, what it costs and how to cancel.
If we raise the price of Pro, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your renewal. If you don't want to pay it, cancel before then and you won't be charged the new price.
We don't refund ongoing subscriptions or partial periods, including when you cancel or move to Free part-way through a period. This does not limit any right to withdraw or to a refund that mandatory consumer law gives you.
If your account moves from Pro to Free, because you cancelled, a payment failed, or the subscription was paused, the Pro features stop from that moment:
- AI receipt reads fall back to the Free allowance of 5 in total. Reads you used on Pro count toward it, so you may have none left.
- The receipt forwarding address stops working. Mail sent to it is turned away.
- Your clients can't start new card payments. Your invoices show your bank details instead. Card payments already made, and refunds of them, are not affected.
- Invoice drafts from a sentence and the API stop.
After a failed payment, Pro comes back as soon as a payment goes through, either when Lemon Squeezy tries the card again or when you update it.
Nothing you created is deleted. Your invoices, expenses, receipts and clients stay where they are, and you can export all of your data on any plan. A forwarded receipt that is held unread because no reads were left is kept for 30 days. After that the image is gone, but you can still add the expense by typing it in. On Free, PDFs and emails sent to your clients carry a short "Made with Receva" line.
5. Your data
You own the data you enter into Receva. We process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export and delete your data through the application.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Receva for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose, not to disrupt or overload the service, and not to attempt to access data that is not yours.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Receva does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using Receva and delete your account at any time from the in-app account settings (deletion runs on a 7-day grace period). We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and where the change is material we will give reasonable notice.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The courts at our registered seat in Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection venue rules that apply to you.
